Along the way, there are times of great sadness and poignancy, times of abandon, times of goofiness, and that kind of humor that is really funny because it grows out of character and close observation. Farrell in particular hasn’t been this good in a few films, perhaps because this time he’s allowed to relax and be Irish.

I view this movie as a dark comedy, and its the best dark comedy movie I’ve ever seen. Thank for sheding some light on the film!

this was one of my favorite films that no one knew about. if u really want to see martin mcd. at his best (on film) check out his first short film, six shooter, available on itunes. otherwise, read his plays.

The jokey violence. The body falling from the tower as a gag.

i didnt laugh at the violence. but ill concede the dwarf plot.
