i wanted dodd but was willing to be surprised by a sebelius or some other (i was only half joking when i suggested arnold). anyone but webb (creeps me out), bayh (potential to creep me out) or kaine (zzz). two months ago i never would have thought obama would select clinton (too much dnc) or biden (too much mouth). but biden it is and im ok with that for every reason excessively repeated. i am not ok with the suggestion that obama left his comfort zone in choosing biden. faithful watchers are aware that obama would not choose a yes man (bayh) nor make the typical electoral gambit (kaine) (nor choose a far lefty); choosing biden is consistent within the lincoln narrative. from obamas consideration of others experience to his consistent magnanimity to the use of springfield illinois, team of rivals continues to be the under-suggested blueprint.

Can we cool it with the Lincoln comparisons? The guy’s not even in office yet (and unless there’s a ground swell from the politically apathetic, I don’t see it happening). I’m sorry, but I don’t see Biden putting him over the top.
