david gordon green movies are the ache of love and the desperation of what scares the fuck out of you. they are also incredibly awkward and goofy, which is why i figger he was the unlikely choice to direct pineapple express. in the run-up to its premiere bam is running a retrospective of his work. my man. upward and onward!
